With each new year updated design trends show up. What new 2019 home design trends are you seeing? We see new styles show up in home designs from manufacturers and different requests from customers. Plus, as we decorate each new model home we’re always on the lookout for the latest trends to make sure modern decor is displayed. We’ve pulled a few hot trends together to share with you.
Home Design Trends
- Color – The 2019 Pantone color of the year is Living Coral. We’re seeing this used as an acccent color. Think about including with decor, accent pillows, towels, etc.
- Wall Color – There are couple of trends we’re noticing with wall color. The first is white wall paint. Soft, warm whites instead of colder whites are popular. The white color is commonly used in many rooms throughout the home with an accent room or two that feature a bold color, jewel tone colors (bold, deep blues and greens) are popular for these accent rooms. Painted accent walls are not as popular as accent rooms.
- Bringing Nature Indoors – Prominent windows help provide a view to the outdoors. Outdoor/nature connection can also be acomplished by adding design features and decorations such as; wood floors, stone backsplashes, copper and plants. You’ll also see more unique wood features.
- Cabinets – You’ll find cabinets in colors other than natural wood tones and white. You might see blue, grey, black and more.
- Patterns – Floral and geometric patterns are showing up and creating a bold statement. You could see them covering walls or used as accent pieces as simple as a pillow or sitting chair.
That’s a few of the popular trends we’re seeing. There are many others and of course everyone has their own style!
