There is a large amount of the population searching or interested in purchasing a home for the first time or transitioning out of their current home into something different that fits their current lifestyle. In some cases that is for a growing family, downsizing for retirement, moving locations, enjoying a lake cabin, or finding affordable housing. People are finding fewer options in the market and have discovered that modular and manufactured homes offer quality, valuable solutions to their needs. Home demands are high.
Construction Supply Shortages
The housing demand has kept us at Excelsior Homes busy helping customers find just the right home. We do come across another challenge – supply shortages. Some items are taking longer to arrive, come with a higher price tag or just plain aren’t available. We’ve seen this in different areas such as building materials, appliances, and even paint! Availability can change quickly and sometimes with very little notice.
We’ve gotten very good at finding alternative solutions that meet customer’s needs as we’re seeing rapid substitutions. We work with numerous home manufacturers to make sure our home supply continues to flow which also helps provide more options. If you are looking for a specific option/style which isn’t available from one manufacturer we may be able to find it with another. As a home buyer/builder right now we recommend being open to changes. It isn’t always necessary, but sometimes supply cost increases can impact the budget which is very important. You don’t want surprises, which is why we keep you informed throughout the entire home process.
