Excelsior Homes was established in 1967 by George Munsell in Excelsior, Minnesota. Six years later, George’s son & daughter-in-law, Jeff & Sandra, moved the business to beautiful Hutchinson, Minnesota, under the name Excelsior Homes West, Inc. They are a business with family roots that supports the community.
How a Hobby Drove Conservation Support
Jeff enjoys hunting and Excelsior Homes’ support for Pheasant’s Forver and Duck’s Unlimited started there. In 1982 they sponsored Duck’s Unlimited for the first time and five years later in 1987 they also started sponsoring Pheasant’s Forever. Both organizations focus on preserving habitats and populations of their respective wildlife populations.
Jeff’s love of hunting spread within their family to his children and grandchildren. He’s also been known to go out on a hunt with Excelsior Homes employees that are interested. Doing things together as a family, involving friends and supporting the community are all important to the family behind Excelsior Homes.
